Originally from New Orleans, growing up in the rich design history of the area with its unique lines, colors, and textures undoubtedly influenced my decision to become an Interior Designer. Can you imagine New Orleans without the amazing architecture and style of the French Quarter? Of course not! That is what makes the area so unique. Well, that and the food of course! Did I mention my second love to designing is cooking!
This is what I love about my profession. I get to work with so many different people to help each one achieve their own personal style that reflects their likes, values, and culture.
After earning a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, I began designing furniture for a local retailer. My love for furniture lines, fabrics, and color really blossomed there. Being exposed to products from all over the world inspired me to make each client’s furniture piece extra special for their home and designed specifically to meet their needs. From there, I worked for a major retailer and realized that my passion was working with clients one-on-one to help make their house a home.
I am a wife to my husband, Monty, of 15 years and we have two daughters, Marley and Eden. I love family time, reggae music, traveling, and cooking!
Design is my passion, and I feel extremely fortunate to work in this field creating beautiful, personalized spaces for my clients. My design philosophy is your home is a reflection of you and that is the foundation for YOUR special design. I believe every home should be Livable, Smart, and Fresh.
I have worked in the interior decorating industry for over 16 years. I love seeing each client’s reaction to the “Big Reveal” after I have just installed the room of their dreams. My dedication to each project is the same no matter how small or large the project. My philosophy is that your home is a personal reflection of YOU, not me, which is why I spend lots of time getting to know you and addressing your needs for your home. It’s all about YOU!

First things, first: Our discovery call is the first step. This is usually a 15-minute phone conversation where we talk about what your plans are for your project to ensure that DJI is the right fit for you.
Next step: I set up a design consultation time to meet in your home to do a walk through and measure the spaces discussed on the discovery call. We will talk about budget on this appointment and establish a cost range for the project. Once the budget is in place, the design process begins! On our second appointment we will meet in your home with samples and a digital presentation that reflects options within your budget range and style.
You select your favs, I collect your deposit, and I begin the ordering process for your furnishings. I handle setting up all the shipping and delivering to your home. I am truly a one-stop-shop with a focus on quality and design delivering a hassle-free process to my clients.
Remodeling and New Construction: In addition to furnishings projects, I also consult with clients on remodeling and new construction. If you are thinking of embarking on a remodel or building a new home, the sooner we meet, the better! This is the best time to meet with me because we can work together to maximize the design cohesion of your home from the ground up.
